Champion withdraws bail plea

SHILLONG: The jailed GNLA chairman Champion Sangma has withdrawn a bail application in a case related to Explosives Act.The matter came up for hearing in the High Court of Meghalaya on Friday and  QB Lamare, the counsel on behalf of petitioner sought the permission of the Court to withdraw the bail application for the case filed under various sections of  Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act.
The counsel for the petitioner was granted permission to withdraw the present application with a liberty to move the bail before the concerned Court and the same was not opposed by senior public prosecutor.
