SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong juniors register a 3-1 win over Langsning FC in the U-18 Shillong Premier League ON Friday. The first chance fell to the Lajong juniors who were very dominant throughout the game. In the 5th minute, Dameki Khongstia supplied a good ball to Donbok upfront who then fed it to Samuel Kynshi but the latter’s shot went inches wide. After several attempts on goal, the Lajong juniors were finally rewarded with the first goal in the 43rd minute after Baiakara scored a from a corner kick taken by Samuel Kynshi to give the team a 1-0 lead. As the second half started, Langsning started to press forward in search of the equaliser and found the net with Samborlang scoring for his team in the 52nd minute. Lajong juniors played an overall good passing game and continued to have more chances in front of goal. Baiakara again found the net through a header in the 69th minute and helped Lajong regain the lead. Mowell who came on as a substitute in the second half, made a good run from the left in the 74th minute and passed the ball to Dameki who made no mistake to find the back of the net inside the box. Lajong juniors finally won the match 3-1. Lajong juniors will play their next match against Malki SC on June 16.
