SHILLONG: NSS Shillong College in collaboration with Smit Higher Secondary School, Smit organized World Environment Week with the theme ‘Save Mother Earth’ with an Inter School competition which concluded on Thursday, at Indoor Stadium, Smit.
Various activities like painting, drawing, singing and quiz were organized and around eight schools from the surrounding village participated enthusiastically.
The progranmme concluded with the quiz competition where Smit Higher Secondary School bagged the first prize in the senior level, while, in the junior level the first prize was bagged by Mount Gerizm School Smit.
Synod College
The NSS Unit of  Nabon Women’s Synod  College, also celebrated World Environment Day on Tuesday  at the Col-lege campus.
Students participated in the debate, slogan writing competition and painting competition.
