Ex-MLA passes away at 78

SHILLONG: Former legislator Medras Mylliem Umlong passed away on Saturday after a brief illness at Nazareth Hospital here.Mylliem, 78, had represented Sohiong Assembly constituency in  1978
In  1984, he was elected as an MDC from Mawphlang Diengiei Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker A. T Mondal condoled the death of  Medras In a condolence message, the Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to members of the bereaved family.The Chief Adviser to the Government of Meghalaya,  D.D Lapang also condoled the death of Medras.
