BJP youth wing meets DMHO

SHILLONG: The BJP youth wing Mawkyrwat and others met the District Medical Health Officer (DMHO) last month to seek explanation to the complaints made by the people of the area on the irregular service of doctors in the CHC of Mawkyrwat.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the BJP youth wing said that the people of Mawkyrwat had met them and complained  about the irregular attendance of doctors in the CHC especially on Saturdays and Sundays. In this connection, the youth met the DMHO, who informed them that at   ) present there are only four doctors in the CHC.
Seven doctors are supposed to be in a CHC, four specialized doctors and three medical officers. But due to shortage of doctors, it was not possible to send all the doctors in one CHC, the DMHO pointed out.
Mihsalan Khar Turnia president BJP youth wing Mawkyrwat Mandal, informed that the unit has urged the Deputy Chief Minister and the Health Minister to look into the grievances faced by the people of Mawkyrwat.
