Mallya declared as proclaimed offender

Mumbai: A special Prevention of Money Laundering Act court on Tuesday declared controversial liquor baron Vijay Mallya a ‘proclaimed offender’ as he failed to appear before the court, despite several NBWs issued against him in a case of money laundering. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a case against Mallya for money laundering and wilfully defaulting the loan of several banks. (Details on P-5)
