SHILLONG: The Khasi Jaintia National Union (KJNU), central body has said that ministers from the Khasi-Jaintia community should step down if they fail to make efforts restore peace in the State.
The union also urged Chief Minister Mukul Sangma to accept the HNLC’s peace talks offer.  “He (the CM) should not have hurt the sentiments of the public by showing favoritism by calling only Garo militants for talks,” the KJNU said.
