Woman sexually assaulted
A woman in Nagalbibra in South Garo Hills was allegedly sexually assaulted before being released by her captor.  The woman from Dosingkigre in Williamnagar lodged a complaint that on May 30, one Raksang D Sangma forcibly took her to his parental house at Jongsinggittim, Nangalbibra in South Garo Hills and threatened and sexually assaulted her.  However, on June 3, the accused released her. Police have registered a case and the matter is under enquiry.
Thief flees from Dawki PS  
On June 17 between 3 am and 4 am, one Md. Majumdar Rakman Laskar accused of theft case under Dawki PS, escaped from Dawki PS (WJH). Efforts to locate and arrest him are on.
One knocked down
On June 17 at about 7 pm, one Hyundai Eon local taxi (ML-05M-4385) driven by Keston Kharsati (35) knocked down one Alwin Dkhar (48) near Elephant Falls, Upper Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
Scooty rider injured
On June 17 at around 10.40 pm, one Mahindra pik-up (number not known) dashed against one scooty (ML-05N-8542) ridden by one M. Sinha at Demseiniong. As a result, the scooty rider sustained injuries and was admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
Army cables stolen
Maj. Jitendra Kushire, Officer Commanding, Communication ‘F’ Composite Signal Regiment, lodged a complaint that on June 15, miscreants stole 20 pairs of jelly cable (40 mtrs) from near Quarter No. 15, MES, Anjalee Complex.
Woman murdered
One Wostarding Lyngkhoi lodged a complaint that on June 15 evening, miscreants murdered a woman identified as Blianmai Lyngkhoi (50) at New Mawlangsu village (WKH).
Cash, ornaments stolen    
On June 8 at about 2 pm, miscreants stole cash Rs. 4,500 and gold and silver ornaments valued around Rs. 33,400 from the residence of one Dhiraj Kumar at Nongrim Hills.
