Pickpocket nabbed in city

SHILLONG: Police personnel from the Sadar PS picked up a suspected pickpocket from Police Bazar area on June 20 and recovered an iPhone 5s from his possession.
The accused, Agirole Marwein (20), S/o Md. Fitu of Mawkriah, Mawphlang, had stolen the iPhone from the pocket of a woman, who when contacted, was found unaware of the theft.
Later, it was learnt that the accused had three other cases against his name.
It may be mentioned that concerned over the rise in pickpocketing in Police Bazar area, the Sadar police station has been deputing policemen in plain clothes in the area, to check the crime.
