JH pressure group raises hail storm victims’ cause

SHILLONG: The All Jaintia Hills Social Welfare Organisation (AJHSWO) called on West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, Arun Kembhavi recently to highlight the plight of the victims affected by the hailstorm that hit the district in October 2014.
The AJHSWO claimed that over half of the victims affected by the hailstorm in Thadlaskein C&RD Block are yet to receive the relief fund of Rs 4500 each.
The DC assured to look into the matter and find ways to secure the funds for the victims.
