SHILLONG: An under trial prisoner arrested in connection with an NDPS case, attempted to escape while he was being produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate at Jowai.
Police said that the incident happened on June 25 when the accused Romeo Synrem sustained injuries while trying to escape. He was later admitted to a hospital.
