HC summons Tura SP over non payment of dues

SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya has asked the Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills to appear before the Court and submit a detailed report on why payments to vehicles requisitioned for law and order purposes in the district from 2011-2015 have not been made yet.
Many petitioners filed plea before the Court complaining that they have not received their payment even though their vehicles were  requisitioned for law and order purpose in West Garo Hills from 2011-2015.
Justice SR Sen, in his order, said that the matter has been listed for July 15 for personal appearance of the SP, West Garo Hills.
State Counsel B. Khyriem, in the hearing submitted that the charges of some of the vehicles have already been paid while some others are under verification.
