SHILLONG: The names of government servants figure in the list of beneficiaries under National Food Security Act, (NFSA).The office of the deputy commissioner (Supply), East Garo Hills has detected erroneous entry of the names of Government service holders in the list of beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act, 2013.
The Deputy Commissioner has urged those government service holders to surrender their PHH cards and also directed all fair price shop dealers and vigilant committees to report such cases to the department in order to help the deserving poor families to get the benefits under the Act.
