SHILLONG: Cases of violation of the NGT ban on transportation of coal continues to be reported in the State in recent times.On June 30 around 10 PM, police detected and seized one coal laden truck (ML10 B 2714) near a coal depot at 8th Mile, East Jaintia Hills, which was transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.The same night, police intercepted one coal laden truck (ML04 B 4608) at Tuber Sohshrieh in East Jaintia Hills. On seeing the police, the trucker fled.Meanwhile, police also detected an abandoned coal laden truck (AS01 DD 9799) at Sohshrieh petrol pump in the same district.
