CBSE programme for girl students

SHILLONG: The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has launched Udaan – a programme aimed to give wings to girl students under the guidance of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD).
The programme aims to provide free coaching to deserving girl students of class XI from economically weak backgrounds pursuing their ambition for engineering. Under the Udaan programme girl students are provided free offline/online resources through virtual weekend contact classes and study material on pre-loaded tablet while studying in class XI and XII as a preparation for admission test to various engineering colleges.
Girl students currently enrolled in class XI with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) from KVs/JNVs/government schools of any recognized boards in India/ CBSE affiliated private schools whose annual income of family is less than Rs 6 lakhs per annum can apply for the programme.
Last date for submitting online application is July 13.
