SHILLONG: The State unit of the BJP has welcomed the launch of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) by party national president Amit Shah in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Almost all the non-Congress political parties of the Northeastern states sent their representatives to attend the launching programme of the alliance.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the BJP said that the Alliance has decided to work under a common minimum programme to uproot the corrupt Congress governments from the region.
“There was no discussion regarding pre-poll alliance in the meeting,” the BJP added.
