State footballer completes coaching course

SHILLONG: A young and upcoming footballer   from Jaintia Hills has successfully completed a Diploma Course in Football Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala.
Tongper, a resident of Mynthong locality, Jowai  in West Jaintia Hills District, is one among the seven students from the North East states who were selected for taking up the diploma course.
Tongper had earlier participated in the Santosh Trophy, the main competition in Indian Football besides All India Inter University football and junior level football.
Tonger has also represented several prominent clubs of the city  like Lajong FC, Rangdajied FC, Langsning FC, Laitumkhrah and others.
