SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has voiced the need to upgrade the present educational structure of MBOSE for it to be at par with other education boards in the country like CBSE and ICSE.
Expressing concern over the inability of youths of the State to compete due to inadequate syllabus as it does not prepare them to face the competition in today’s generation, BJP state youth president Egenstar Kurkalang said, “There are various shortcomings in the MBOSE syllabus. Youths from the State are unable to crack competitive exams since most of the questions are being set as per the CBSE or ICSE pattern.”
Observing the lack of foundation from the grass root level will hamper the future of youths, he urged the government to strengthen the foundation of MBOSE by implementing an ‘education policy’ in the State.
