SHILLONG: The All Jaintia Hills Social Welfare Organisation (AJHSWO) has expressed gratitude to Health & Family Welfare Minister A.L. Hek for deputing doctors at the six public health centres of Laskein, Yooksi, Nangbah, Namdong, Bataw and Pdeinshakap in Jaintia Hills.
The AJHSWO, however, suggested that the doctors and nurses should reside in the allotted staff quarters so that they can cater to emergency cases.
The organization also called for better availability of medicines and appointment of doctors in the Ayurvedic and dental sections.
