One killed in road mishap

SHILLONG: One person succumbed to his injuries after the vehicle in which they were travelling capsized on July 11 around 10 AM on NH-44E at Nongspung in West Khasi Hills.
Three occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries but only two reached NEIGRIHMS for treatment while the third injured person identified as Dinesh Kumar Saroj succumbed to his injuries on the way.
In another incident on Thursday, a Swift D’zire car (AS01 FC 6456) driven by Rudra Charan Chettri knocked down two persons – Erilda Tariang and Habakmen Tariang at Mawlai Umthlong, Shillong.
Victims were taken to Woodland Hospital.
The same day, a local taxi (ML05 N 5098) driven by Bapynskhemlang Nongbri dashed against a scooty (ML05 L 9308) ridden by Sunny Singh at Golf Links.
