Health camp
GVK EMRI – Meghalaya operations in collaboration with North East Cohort Team, Shillong conducted a one-day free health camp at Iewduh (Paltan Bazar) July 14. A total of 130 people attended the health camp. The office of the Director Health Service, Meghalaya contributed the medicine for conducting the health camp.
Telephone adalat
The BSNL has informed that a telephone adalat will be held in the conference room of the office of the GMTD, BSNL Barik at 11.30 am on July 25 to settle old billing complaints.
Plantation
Adhunik Cement Limited, subsidiary of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited organized a “Mega plantation” on July 16 at its plant premises in Lumshnong, Jowai with the aim to make an entry in the Limca Book of World Records by planting 25,000 saplings in 35 minutes to make the surrounding greener. The plantation drive covered an area of 9,000 sq.m.
