Body found dumped in Shillong Bypass

SHILLONG: The body of a person who is suspected to have been murdered was recovered from the Shillong Bypass stretch.
Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills informed that the body of a male, aged between 35-40 years was found dumped at Mawkhanu on Shillong Bypass on July 18.
The deceased, who appeared to be a Sikh, seemed to be a driver by profession.
Both hands of the victim were tied to the back and there were multiple injuries on the occipital region. According to the SP, the deceased was also strangulated as one rope like cloth was found tied on his neck.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the  unknown accused and investigation taken up.
