Training programme on candle making

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship (MIE) organised a training programme on candle making for 30 unemployed youths under the guidance of Women for Integrated Sustainable Empowerment (WISE) at Umeit, Ri Bhoi from July 11-15. This was the second such programme organised by the MIE. The programme is fully sponsored by the Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme with an objective to develop the skill of youths in manufacturing various types of candles to meet the local requirement besides exporting to neighbouring countries.
