SHILLONG: Yet another FIR was filed against the lady imposter Evangeline Kharbuli (39), who posed as a police officer and duped over 450 youths promising jobs after collecting over Rs 2 crore.
A joint FIR was filed by the affected women from Ri-Bhoi and Mairang on Sunday at Mawdiangdiang police outpost after they were promised jobs with Civil Defence and Home Guards by the imposter.
As per the FIR, the lady imposter who was not in police uniform took them to Mawdiangdiang where an official recruitment process was going on.
The imposter was helped by one S. Mawlong who had earlier filed an FIR with police against her which resulted in her arrest after several job aspirants were duped with false promises.
Earlier, the CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing had also filed an FIR with the police to have a wider probe into the case.
