Theft cases
Police arrested Rohit Roy (24) for stealing iron rods and water pump on Saturday belonging to Farid Ahmed at Bivar Road, Shillong.
In another incident unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05J-5450) belonging to Luhit Saha from Raid Laban, Shillong.
At Pommura , East Khasi Hills unknown miscreants stole 150 liters of diesel oil from Reliance Mobile tower  between July 20 & 21 as per a complaint filed by T. Mangboy Gangte.
Meanwhile, Etarsing Pakma lodged a complaint that on July 21 at around 8 pm, one Banrap Myrshiang stole agricultural equipment, rice, etc., from his go down at Moodymmai village (WJH).
Menia D Sangma lodged a complaint that on July 19, unknown miscreants broke into her shop at Soil Bazar, Williamnagar (EGH) and stole grocery items valued around Rs. 6,500/-.
Woman molested
A woman lodged a complaint that on July 20 at around 7 pm, one unidentified person molested and pushed her into a stream near Sacred Heart Church, Tura (WGH).
Accident
An unknown vehicle dashed against one scooty (ML-05F-0019) ridden by Rascula Ranee (34) at 4th Mile, Upper Shillong on Monday at around 10:30 am. As a result, scooty rider sustained injuries and was removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
Oil missing
Biren Gogoi lodged a complaint that on July 19, an oil tanker capsized on the road at Mawmang NH-44 (EKH). Later, the loaded oil from the tanker was found missing while driver and his helper remained untraced.
Body found
On July 22, one unidentified male body was recovered from a paddy filed at Ktien Madan, Mairang (WKH). Cadaver was removed to U Tirot Singh Memorial Civil Hospital, Mairang for post mortem examination.
Assault
On July 23 evening, unknown miscreants assaulted Sanbarlin Mawrein (28) at Mawlonghat, Shillong causing injuries to him. Victim was removed to CH Shillong.
Vehicle damaged
Chisaka Ch Marak lodged a complaint that on July 16 night, unknown miscreants damaged one seized vehicle which was parked at Forest Range Office Compound, Williamnagar (EGH).
