Police-public coordination meet in SGH

SHILLONG: In a positive step towards the fight against militancy, South Garo Hills Police on Tuesday organised a huge police-public coordination meeting at Rongara attended by over 1000 people including NGO members.
During the meeting, vital security and law and order issues were discussed and a Rongara community policing committee was constituted.
Participants in the meeting assured of their full cooperation to the police for ensuring law and order in the district.
District police chief Anand Mishra and local legislator Rophul S. Marak were present on the occasion.
The SP assured quality service to the people while the MLA gave a clarion call to the people to join the fight against militancy. He also urged people to come forward and share any inputs on militants with police.
