Woman killed
A woman identified as Menalish S Sangma (36) died on the spot after the vehicle in which she was travelling  met with an accident in South West Garo Hills.  The accident took place on July  25  when one tempo (ML-08D-1450) driven by one Kalam, skidded off the road and turned turtle at Aiodoba village in Monabari.
Driver injured
On July 26, one Maruti local taxi (ML-05J-3834) driven by Ialambok Marngar (32) dashed against one Maruti van (ML-05C-8102) driven by Jester Nongneng (31) at Umshyrpi Bridge Junction . As a result, driver of Maruti van sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital.
Batteries worth over Rs 2 lakh stolen   
On July 22, unknown miscreants stole forty-eight batteries valued around Rs. 2,50,000 from a mobile tower at Pathranga, Ambari (West Garo Hills).
One  Dipankar Das of BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd. camp Nirshini village under Betasing OP (South West Garo Hills), lodged a complaint that on July 20 night, miscreants stole one 12-volt battery valued around Rs. 7,400- from a construction site at Mahendraganj
Vehicle spare parts stolen
One  Phernold Basaiawmoit lodged a complaint that on July 22 at around 7.20 pm, unknown miscreants stole the battery, spare parts, and other valued items  around Rs. 9,000 from a vehicle (ML-05C-6221) from Khliehiew.
Mobile theft case
One Akhilesh Prasad of Sepoy Colony, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint that on July 11,  miscreants stole his mobile phone valued around Rs. 15,000.
