RKM courses
Considering the importance of Hindi and Khasi, the Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong is introducing courses in Hindi and Khasi languages from August 16, 2016 at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road. Admission is open to all who have passed Class X and are between 16 and 35 years of age.
Mock drill
The office of the District Disaster Management Authority, South West Khasi Hills, conducted a two-day training cum mock drill on search and rescue & first aid for school teachers, NGOs, volunteers and self help groups on Jul 27-28 at DC’s office, South West Khasi Hills, Mawkyrwat.

Meet
M/s ETPL (India), a skill development centre from Meghalaya, was invited by the National Institute of Advance Studies (NIAS) for a two day national consultative meet on vocational (skill), technical and higher education which was held on June 13-14 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Training
An eight-day skill upgradation training for sericulture weavers conducted by the District Sericulture Officer in collaboration with the Integrated Basin Development and Livelihood programme (IBDLP), East Garo Hills, concluded on July 26 on the premises of the District Sericulture Office, Williamnagar.
