BSS health camp
As many as 145 people benefitted from the free health camp organised by Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) in association with Guwahati-based Narayana Superspecialty Hospital. The health camp was conducted at the BSS Medical Unit, Pranavananda Sevaniketan, Jail Road on Saturday. During the camp ECG, X-ray, blood pressure, blood sugar tests were done for several patients and medicines were distributed for free.
Meeting
The annual general body meeting of the Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students’ Association (SSASA) will be held at 11 am on July 31 at the Deba Kumar Das Memorial Hall premises, Bishnupur. All Assamese students and well-wishers have been requested to attend the meet.
Gratuitous relief       
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has sanctioned an amount of Rs.68, 000  for payment of gratuitous relief to affected beneficiaries under Amlarem Block and Rs. 3, 65,800  for payment of gratuitous relief to affected hailstorm beneficiaries under Thadlaskein Block.
