Two Khasi villagers killed in Assam landslide

JOWAI: Two Khasi people were killed while two minor children were still missing after a major landslide hit their house at Bhuban village in Cachar district of Assam on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Youmila Lamurong (45), wife of Dipherson Langwar and her daughter, Warlis Lamurong (25). One Thious Shadap, husband of Warlis Lamurong, suffered grievous injuries.
Two other members of the family – Diwer Lamurong (5) son of Dipherson Langwar and Anisa Lamurong (3) daughter of Warlis Lamurong – were still missing.
