SHILLONG: After the induction of Donkupar Sumer (MDC from Umsning), KHADC CEM P N Syiem has effected a minor re-shuffle of portfolios.
While Sumer will hold Taxation and Labour portfolios, Banteidor Lyngdoh will hold Building department. Langkyrdem MDC Jansing Tynsong was allotted Youth Affairs and Arts and Culture.
The induction of Sumer was delayed since the state government did not send the file related to the matter to the Governor for approval. Later, KHADC had sought the intervention of the High Court of Meghalaya which finally resulted in the Governor clearing the file to pave way for the induction of Sumer.
