Girl abducted
A woman lodged a complaint that three months back her daughter was found missing from her residence at Fakiraganj village, Assam and the matter was informed to Fakiraganj PS, Assam. Later, the complainant learnt that one Mojiron Nesha had abducted her daughter and handed her over to one Lalan Ali and his accomplices.
Woman tortured
Bariphylla Lyttan, Manager, Impulse NGO Network, Shillong lodged a complaint that one Vicky Sunar physically and mentally tortured his wife and his one year old son in their residence at Cantonment, Shillong.
Threat
One P. Phawa, President of ‘Iengskhem’, a village women’s group of Moopyut village (WJH) lodged a complaint that one Emos Chyrmang has been threatening the members of the group with dire consequences, since the last seven days.
NGT ban violation
On September 3 at around 6 am, Police detected one truck (ML-04B-6627) driven by Mebandonlang Suiam at Ummulong (WJH), transporting coal in violation of NGT order.
On September 1 at around 7.45 pm, police detected one truck (ML-04-5358) at Sookilo (East Jaintia Hills), transporting coal in violation of NGT order.
Woman set on fire
One Md. Nawsad Ali of Milonpara, Phulbari (West Garo Hills) lodged a complaint on August 28 that his son-in-law, Md. Rahim Badsa along with his family members, tortured his daughter, threatened and demanded Rs. 2 lakh from her. The accused persons also set her on fire. However, she was rescued by her neighbours and was taken to her parent’s house. Later, the victim delivered a baby but her husband refused to accept her.
Rape slur on grandfather
One Watson R Marak, President, AAYF Dainadubi Unit lodged a complaint (September. 2) that one Lolitson Marak raped his own seven year old granddaughter at Sarang Apal village in NGHdistrict.
One killed in accident
On September 1, one motorcycle (ML-09A-4453) knocked down one Sukander R Marak who was working on the road at Baghmara (South Garo Hills. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Tura, where he succumbed to his injuries.
