FKJGP for action against Vet official

NONGSTOIN: The FKJGP, Maweit circle on Thursday demanded the state government to take a stern action against the in charge of Veterinary Aid Centre, Maweit, West Khasi Hills for distribution of expired medicines and absence from office for long periods. According to the FKJGP, the people of Maweit and adjoining areas, especially farmers, are suffering immensely due to the frequent absence of the veterinary in charge. The FKJGP demanded the District Veterinary Officer to alleviate grievances of livestock farmers by “reactivating the centre, which is mostly non-functional”.
