City school to get funds under Asian Development Bank

SHILLONG: West Shillong MLA Paul Lyngdoh on Friday laid the foundation stone   for the upgradation of the Anath Ashram School in Mawprem under the Asian Development Bank funded project.
Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh expressed his happiness over the school being the only one  in West Shillong constituency to be selected under the ADB funded project.
The work for the school has been allotted and the infrastructure of the school will come up in the next 18-20 months at a budget of around Rs  3 crores.
Under the project, a two-storey building of the school will have a science laboratory, a library and better washrooms.
Commissioner and Secretary, Education department, DP Wahlang   and staff of the school were also present on the occasion.
