NEIGRIHMS felicitates nursing grads

Shillong: The nursing college at NEIGRIHMS celebrated its 4th Graduation Day and 7th Lamp Lighting and Oath-taking ceremony on Friday.
The college gave away degree certificates and mementoes to 45 nursing graduates from the 2012-16 batch. The top three students were felicitated and given cash awards.
Governor V Shanmuganathan, who was the chief guest, said nurses should not hesitate to work in the remotest parts of the State. “Do not hesitate to work in far-flung areas where there is poverty and diseases,” he said, and added that the nurses should be compassionate and sympathetic towards the sick.
NEIGRIHMS  Director P. Bhattacharya was among the speakers.
