No-trust motion

SHILLONG: Chief whip and Urban Affairs Minister Ronnie V Lyngdoh on Thursday hinted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was instigating the Opposition in Meghalaya to move the no-confidence motion against the Mukul Sangma-led government.
Participating in a discussion during the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition, Lyngdoh said, without naming BJP, that some political parties have started “the Congress-mukt Bharat campaign”.
Asserting that all is well in the party, Lyngdoh said “Congress members do not subscribe to such idea” and that they are together as the Congress got the mandate of the people here in the 2013 Assembly elections.
