Thief caught
On September 16 at around 7 am, one Angelus Ryntathiang (23) was caught red handed while stealing cigarettes and maggie noodles from a shop at Lummawbah, Shillong. Police arrested the accused and matter is under investigation.
One more held in gang rape case
Regarding the gang rape on September 11, at Myriaw (West Khasi Hills). Police arrested one more accused identified as Basnes Ryntathiang(20). Earlier seven persons including juveniles were arrested in connection with the crime.
One injured in attack
On September 14 at around 8 am, one Pran Hajong attacked two persons namely, Robindro Hajong and Horidas Hajong with a ‘dao’ at Manaisora village (South West Khasi Hills), causing injuries to one Horidas Hajong. Police arrested the accused.
