Helping Hands conducts blood donation camps in Delhi

SHILLONG: The recently formed ‘Helping Hands’ of North East Delhi Police conducted blood donation camps in hospitals in Delhi with the support of  lawyer from Meghalaya  Daniel Stone Lyngdoh and the nodal police officer Robin Hibu on September 18.During the blood donation camps initiated by Delhi police, volunteers from all Northeastern states, and those from Darjeeling in West Bengal joined hands.
Some volunteers from Bhutan also participated for the noble cause, a statement said on Monday.
Lyngdoh, the Supreme Court lawyer, and monitoring officer of the Helping Hands (Legal cell) represented the people of Meghalaya in Delhi and donated blood on the occasion.
Lyngdoh was recently appointed the ‘Honorary Special Police Officer’ (HSPO) for the North Eastern states in Delhi.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi in the presence of Hibu, the Commissioner of Police in Delhi and the Nodal Police officer for the North East.
