Five addl chief secys in State, Ingty new entrant

SHILLONG: The number of additional chief secretaries in Meghalaya has risen to five with the appointment of PW Ingty as the new additional chief secretary.
Ingty, who got the new post recently, will continue to hold charge of the departments of revenue and disaster management, food and civil supplies, commerce and industries, and general administration department, among others.
Other additional chief secretaries in the State are Y. Tsering, in charge mining and geology, health and family welfare and others, PS Thangkhiew, chairman-cum-managing director, MeECL and civil defence and home guards, Shreeranjan in charge transport, urban affairs, forests and environment and others and
Hector Marwein holding home (passport), cooperation and social welfare, among others.
Sources said that since their promotions were due as per seniority list, they were appointed as additional chief secretaries.
