JOWAI: Two villages under Laskein Block in West Jaintia Hills district have been without electricity for six months now.  The KSU’s Laskein unit informed that villages– Khonshnong and Pyntei (New Raliang)-have been without power supply for months for reasons best known to the MeECL.
Leaders of the KSU also met the West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner in this regard. The DC, Arun Kumar Kembhavi assured them that the matter will be taken up with MeECL officials.
