SHILLONG: To ease congestion the Shillong Traffic Police have devised certain changes in routes at the Fire Brigade junction.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, “On reaching Fire Brigade Junction, vehicles coming from St. Edmund’s and proceeding towards Jingkieng will not be allowed to take right but will have to take a detour from the left road and turn around the traffic point and join the National Highway again.”
“Vehicles coming from Jingkieng and proceeding towards Laitumkhrah will have to detour beyond traffic point and take a right and proceed towards Seventh Day junction and vehicles coming from Laitumkhrah and proceeding towards St. Edmund’s will have to take left before Fire Brigade Junction through Traffic Point and turn right,” the statement added.
