TURA: The NPP in West Garo Hills has deeply condoled the sudden demise of Late Bibash Ch Das, its working president and senior-most party leader.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, the party informed that Das had been a true follower of Late P A Sangma and stayed by his side even in difficult times of his political career. It was while he was just a student of Class VII that Das first became a follower of P A Sangma, who since then remained his leader and mentor till the time of his death in March 4 this year.
“The NPP has lost its oldest member, the most dedicated and daring party worker who had always dared to question Late PA Sangma in party matters and yet remained so loyal to him. We convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. We will always cherish his memories as well as his contributions to the party and the region as a whole,” it said.
