Shillong Mask Fest tomorrow

SHILLONG: Come Saturday, Shillong will have its slice of Carnival of Venice, a major festival in Italy, thanks to the Shillong Mask Festival that is being held in the city. The Electronic Dance Music (EDM) event aims to “highlight the music scene of Shillong at a higher scale” and features a major lineup of international acts like Super8 & Tab (Armada music) besides DJ Leo, Arpan, Shaan, Trekon, Jupiter and VJ Miraj.The Finnish music duo of Super8 & Tab is currently on its international tour which was met with great success at Hyderabad and Pune. The organizers, Shillong City Rocking Entertainment and Management (SCREAM), intend to host this festival as a calendar event in Shillong.
Masks will be available at the venue, 5th Ground Polo, to enable the audience to get absorbed in the theme. Elaborate security arrangements are also being made for the event.
