Health camp
Meghalaya Youth Foundation (MYF) in collaboration with other organisations such as Jharna Foundation, Seva Bharati (Meghalaya), Mission Nethralya and the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences conducted a free health camp cum eye camp at Liewlong village, Pomlakrai, East Khasi Hill on September 23.
Police admit card distribution
The Ri Bhoi SP has informed that distribution of SF-10 admit cards will commence on September 27 at Police Reserve, Nongpoh. Candidates are required to bring along the temporary admit Card issued to them at the time of submitting the form.
Office bearers
The Meghalaya College Non Teaching Employees Association has elected new office bearers with Phrangsngi Majaw named the president, Spadlin Dkhar the vice president and Augustine Khriam the general secretary among others.
World Rabies Day
The district units of Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association will organise functions on the occasion of World Rabies Day on Wednesday. The programmes will focus on ‘Educate, Vaccinate and Eliminate’.
Unclaimed body
On September 22, the body of a male aged around 40-45 years was found lying on the ground floor of Ri Bhoi Parking Lot. Accordingly, inquest and other formalities have been observed and the body was forwarded to SDM&HO Civil Hospital Shillong for post mortem. After post mortem examination the body was kept in the morgue for identification. The diseased was wearing are black T-shirt, white stripe shirt and grey long pant.
