State to use Russian expertise in public services

SHILLONG: The State Government will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Restec Expo Forum, a Russian firm, for expertise in the field of tourism, pharmaceuticals and clean drinking water, among others.
Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said on Friday he and a few senior officials of the Industries Department attended the Russian Industrialist Exhibitionrecently in St Petersburg.
Sangma said the Government would work on the modalities for the MoU for engaging more partners who have the expertise in water management resources, inland water resources, renewable natural resources, like bamboo and other agro forest produce.
Earlier, the Chief Minister said every member state of the country is expected to take advantage of the economic tie-up between India and Russia.
