BGB chief to arrive in city

SHILLONG: Major General Aziz Ahmed, Director General, Border Guard Bangladesh, will arrive in Shillong on October 5 enroute Dhaka after holding BGB- BSF level meeting in Delhi which began on Friday.
Sources said the BGB chief will be in Shillong for a day on October 5 after the bi-annual DG-level meeting of the border guarding forces of India and Bangladesh which will conclude on October 4.
When contacted, a BSF official said that the visit is a signal of improved relations between both the border guarding forces, while adding that this will also ensure better co-ordination in future.
