SHILLONG: The members of A.chik Students’ Welfare Association has submitted a reminder to Ambrose Ch. Marak, Director, School Education and
Literacy for the appointment of Rastriya Madhyamik Shiksa Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers.
The Association urged the officer to appoint qualified teachers to the vacant posts as the vacant posts have been lying vacant for more than one year in Selsella, Jengjal, and Tikrilkilla RMSA Schools.
Interview was conducted for the RMSA Schools in the past one year, but the director’s approval was awaited
In the absence of teachers,the students of the schools have been facing hardships
Many students of these schools had failed in the previous SSLC Examinations due to the failure of the government to appoint the teachers in time.
According to the information accessed by the Association through a query under RTI Act 2005, there are three posts of teachers which are lying vacant for the subjects like English, Social Studies and MIL (Garo) teacher at
RMSA Secondary School, Selsella, one vacant post of MIL (Garo) teacher at RMSA School, Jengjal and another vacant post of MIL Garo teacher at RMSA School, Tikrilkilla.
The Association however, expressed happiness that the education official Ambrose Marak assured the delegation about the appointment of RMSA teachers within this year after proper evaluation.
