Demand to rename road after St Teresa

SHILLONG:  The Mawlai Constituency Progressive Forum led by local MDC PT Sawkmie met GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh on Tuesday to demand the naming of the stretch from Mawlai Mawroh till Madan Mawkhar as Saint Teresa road. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sawkmie said, “As a mark of remembrance of her contribution to the welfare of society, it will be appropriate to honour her by having a road named after her,” he added.
The minister assured to follow up the matter.
