SHILLONG: The BJP is contemplating to contest all the seven vacant seats in the by-elections to the KHADC and the JHADC scheduled on December 13.
BJP State unit president Shibun Lyngdoh on Wednesday said he had discussions with the BJP leadership who asked the state unit to take a decision on the number of seats the party should contest.
According to Lyngdoh, the party’s executive committee has formed an election committee.
He announced that aspiring candidates who wish to contest the by-elections from the BJP must approach the mandals with their bio-data before October 10.
