Conrad reviews central schemes in Ampati

AMPATI: Conrad K Sangma, who was on his maiden visit to Ampati on Wednesday, held a meeting with officials of the district line departments at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here to discuss Central schemes.
The Tura MP, who is also the chairman of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC), told media persons that the meeting was held to ensure that all Central schemes were implemented properly in Ampati, the constituency of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.
The Centre has directed DDCMC to hold a review meet once every quarter, preferably on the first week of the month. Conrad said he would try to visit at least twice every quarter for firsthand account of the status of implemented schemes. He also stressed on regular monitoring.
Officials from various departments made power point presentations of the respective schemes at the meeting.
Among others who attended the meeting were Deputy Commissioner in charge and ADC Hazel D.B Sangma, District Medical and Health Officer Kona Sangma, Zikzak C&RD Block Development Officer Reuben Momin and Betasing C&RD Block Development Officer Alberth G Momin.
